Photo Essay: Comfort Hotel, Copenhagen Airport

It was a flying stop at this convenient airport hotel in Copenhagen, thus we didn’t really get to experience all the hotel had to offer. In today’s photo essay article, I’m covering the Comfort Hotel located just 5 minutes walk from Copenhagen Airport making it one of the most convenient options if you need to stay nearby.

A new-build hotel that is quite ugly…

Check in is encouraged from the self-service station

Powered by iPads, the self-service stations are easy-to-use with payments also made here. Minimal staff are available at the front desk.

The hotel is actually very nice for a budget establishment. It has a modern loft vibe with splashes of greenery and Scandi-wooden furniture. This would be a nice place to spend a few hours working from.

The ground floor also plays host to the breakfast canteen area (which is inclusive, but we didn’t get to try) and a bar.

And if you’re looking for a bar with a bit more class, head to the 10th Floor for the Bar with a View. Note it is closed on Sundays but open 17-01 on Mondays to Saturdays.

Interestingly, there is a communal washer/dryer facility available - which may be quite handy for some!

Now onto the standard room. You’re greeted by a comfortable, but quite firm, bed with minimal pillows and duvet. It’s more than enough but it is quite basic.

This may be subject to taste, but I find the room modern, clean and simple in design - in a good way.

Like so many budget hotels, storage is minimal and the wardrobe non-existent - but you’re unlikely to be staying here for several nights.

The television is large featuring international and local channels but lacks internet functionality.

Surprisingly, there is a proper desk and a half decent chair - although you wouldn’t have great posture, this would be an okay place to use a laptop for a few hours.

Next to the desk is a rather odd sofa, or is it a luggage storage shelf? I’m not sure but it isn’t particularly comfortable.

The bathroom was actually impeccable. Well tiled, quite good quality and a well-powered shower - all you can ask for at a hotel of this price range!

And if you’ve not got a flight leaving until later in the day, you can check out at 12pm, buy a few extra hours or if you check out on a Sunday you can depart at 6pm for free! I’ve no idea why…but that might be very handy for some people.

Here’s a walk around of the entire room.

And that’s all from the Comfort Hotel at Copenhagen Airport. We paid around GBP 100 for a one night stay which is quite cheap for this part of the world but certainly not Ibis Budget levels of cheap. If you’re in need of somewhere close to the airport for an early check in, or you arrive late into Copenhagen, this is a good option for you. It is comfortable, clean and has all the modern amenities you will require. Just note that there is very little food options unless you eat on-site, in the terminal or head to the nearby town of Kastrup - which is very small, has only a few restaurants and is a 15 minute walk away.
